Cincinnati Comic Expo

My crazy convention schedule continues the next couple of weeks. This Saturday I'll be at the second Cincinnati Comic Expo just a few hours south of me. And, because it's a show and this is now a thing I do, I've done a print for the show as well. This one features Crusader and Darkblade at Union Terminal in Cincy.

Meanwhile, at the home of Skyline Chili

If the building looks familiar, it's because the Terminal was the inspiration for the Hall of Justice on the Super Friends cartoons. Once I knew that, I knew where they had to be.

Next week: Detroit.

Helloooo, Briscoe...

Hello, Brisco…In the midst of this crazy con rush, I mentioned that I did a Brisco County, Jr. piece as a commission. It's late, but here it is.

I got to see John Astin at FanExpo from a distance. I didn't get the chance to actually talk to him, as he had a bit of a line. But even from a distance, you could see that pop and energy. And he's been on so many shows that I loved: Addams Family, Riptide, Night Court, and, of course, Brisco County. Next month I'll be at Detroit Fanfare, and Mr. Bruce Campbell will be there. I'll get to see two of my favorite actors from that wonderful and cancelled-too-quickly (Fox, what a surprise!) show. Maybe I'll show him the piece, too.

And, if anyone wants to buy the license to produce Brisco County comics, you let me know.

Baltimore, Toronto and Atlanta Con Prints

If you've been following my tweets and Facebook posts, you know I've very much been on the move. Baltimore, Toronto and now Dragon*Con in Atlanta. Whew. Life is like a hurricane here in Duckburg, isn't it?

I've been keeping up with the series of convention prints along the way, though. And while I've posted these on Facebook and Twitter, I haven't had a chance to put them up here, along with ordering information if you're interested. These have been a lot of fun, and I'm very happy with how they've been turning out. It's been a fun challenge to figure out locations and images for each area that are interesting and not too trite (hence me not doing a CN Tower image for Toronto, for example).

Missed San Diego? Buy a Piece of it, LNC style!

I'm back from San Diego and Los Angeles, and climbing a pretty tall stack of things that have piled up in my absence. But I wanted to make sure I posted this since some people have asked about it: You can now buy the San Diego/Kansas City Barbecue print from this year's show. San Diego Print

Miami Prints and San Diego Shirts

I'm back from Miami, and that was a Michael Westonish adventure, let me tell you. I'll be writing about that later. Charlotte PrintFor now, let's talk shopping and help me defray the cost of the bribes I made to get smuggled over the Florida border! I've got several of the Miami exclusive prints left. If you'd like one, they're available for order. Each one is signed and numbered, and mailed flat.

Also, if you're going to San Diego Comic-Con, I'm only selling t-shirts by preorder. If you'd like a snazzy Love and Capes shirt, pre-order them here.

Taking my Talents to South Beach, part 2

Next week I'll be at the Miami Supercon. It's my first time at the show, and I'm very much looking forward to it. All I know about Miami, really, is that if I get in trouble I need to contact Michael Weston, and that it is filled with the tears of the underperforming LeBron James. I'll be at booth 820.

The girls in Miami

And, since it's me at another show, I'm doing another print. This Miami print has Abby and Amazonia taking a stroll in South Beach. It's probably the only place Amazonia would be considered appropriately dressed. Prints are 12x18 and limited to 25 signed copies.

Hope to see you there.

Relentless Shilling Department

Next weekend, June 3-5, I'll be guided by the dulcet tones of William Daniels, TV's KITT, to Charlotte, North Carolina where I'll be a guest at HeroesCon. I'll be in Artist's Alley, Booth AA-224, selling books and doing sketches. You can, of course, e-mail me and get on my commission list early, and even request a color piece. (I color digitally, so I have to scan them in and do a print to go with the original black and white piece.)

I'm also, as usual, selling t-shirts and sweatshirts only through pre-order. Order here and I'll bring something down for you.

And, if you want want one of my display stands, you can order it here.

I'm Heading Due North

I've gotten the official word from FaxExpo Canada that I'll be a guest this year. So I'll be visiting lovely Toronto for the first time in almost five years. The last time I was up there I had just published the first issue of Love and Capes. By the time I'm up there, I'll have 18 issues available. Apparently, I've been busy.

I've wanted to go back to FanExpo for some time and I'm looking forward to it. Hope to see you there.

More of Me Sitting Behind a Table

This Sunday is the Lake Effect Comic Book Convention at Great Lakes Mall, sponsored by Comics and Friends. You may remember Comics and Friends sponsoring my 24-Hour Comic Book Day adventure. I'll be up there along with Marc Sumerak, Bob Ingersoll, Chris Yambar and several other talented people. The show runs from 11-6, and I'm even on a panel.

You Can Do Magic - Zatanna Commission

Zatanna trying on clothesCommissions are starting to pick up. Or maybe I just let them pile up while I was churning on the last issue of the current Love and Capes miniseries. Either way, there's a lot of drawing going on.

First up is a Zatanna piece for a customer in Charlotte who wanted to see Zee magically choosing between her classic and Eighties outfit. The second Eighties outfit, of course. He'll be picking it up at HeroesCon. So I think this is a fine time to mention that if you know I'm coming to a show (my full schedule is here) and want to get on the sketchlist early, I'll be glad to do that. Since I color digitally, it means that you'll be able to get the digital print at the same time, too. Just shoot me an e-mail at tz (at) thomz.com and we'll get you set up.
