Raider: About the Characters

RAIDER

No one knows who Raider is, or who he works for. In fact, very little is known about Raider.

What is known is this: He is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant. He has an almost preternatural ability to hide in shadows. He seems to know an awful lot about both Benefactor and Dominator, yet works for neither of them.

Raider seems to be on the side of Benefactor, but is he really? Who is he? Where does he come from? Who trained him? And what does he want?

COMMANDER JESSE COLT

The two fell in love.

Neither country would allow their operative to defect, but the director of Benefactor had a solution. Both Colt and Govolko would transfer under his command and become agents of the international Benefactor Agency. They were married soon thereafter.

Now, Jesse and his wife have a newborn daughter. Katiana has given up her active role working for Benefactor, and Jesse is Commander-Chief of Northeast Field Operations.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR MATTHIAS DOCTOR

Matthias “Matt” Doctor is the only son of an Australian diplomat. He traveled the world, being educated in a number of cities. He attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University and became a doctor for the United Nations World Health Organization.

Eventually, he became head of that organization, and served a long and successful term. The Security Council of the United Nations selected Dr. Doctor to be the Deputy Director of the Benefactor Agency, a seven year term.

Now in the fourth year of his term, Matthias is a trusted advisor to the Director of the Benefactor Agency. Matthias is known as a stern advocate for the rules and regulars under which Benefactor operates.

BENEFACTOR

The first two directors of the Benefactor Agency were killed shortly after taking office. It was then decided that the director’s position would be secret, chosen directly by the United Nations Security Council. The third director wore a mask and was known only as “Director” or “Ben.”

It is unclear how many directors Benefactor has had since instituting the mask policy. It is assumed that the current Ben is at least the third person to assume that role. The current occupant’s past is a mystery. He is American, has been married before, and has an affinity for the Chicago Bears. His face is perpetually concealed in a holographic black shroud that protects his identity and distorts his voice.
Few people have seen the current director without his mask. Among these are his Deputy Director Matthias Doctor, who also serves as his personal physician.

DOMINATOR

Dominator is a far-reaching and diverse global conspiracy with many facets. At times they operate as a paramilitary organization, at times a political one, and at times as a financial and business one. Whatever is required to advance their objective,.

They may control the military dictator of a small third-world country, or one of the largest business lobbyists in Washington DC. Their goal remains the same, though, world domination through any means necessary.

The head of the conspiracy is a man known as Primus. Nothing else is known about him.

Dominator has a variety of agents and operatives, from the lovely yet dangerous Agent Vega, to the zealous cult The Golden Zodiac, to various business people and moles throughout the world.
